EKG Caliper and Ruler Set

š Hardened Steel Caliper
Fine, sturdy points measure the distance between waves, so you can compare intervals on a strip and transfer them to a scale. A protective cap covers the tips and has a small scale on it.
š Pocket Ruler
The set includes a molded plastic reference ruler with a seconds scale (about 1 11/16 x 6 3/8 in, 4.3 x 16.2 cm), small enough for a coat pocket. The ruler is not shown in the photo.

Check the paper speed (25 or 50 mm/s) before measuring, because the same trace looks very different. Measure several beats, not just one, and have a vet or specialist confirm any rhythm you are unsure about. The tips are sharp: keep the cap on when it is not in use.
